Cheese Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups self-rising flour
    1/2 tsp salt
    2 tbsp cold butter, chopped
    1 None egg
    1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup finely grated aged Cheddar cheese
    2 tbsp butter, melted
    1/2 tsp ground mustard powder
None None Pinch of cayenne pepper
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 425\u00b0F. Grease a baking pan.
Sift the flour and salt in a medium bowl. Rub in the chopped butter with your fingertips. Whisk the egg and milk and pour over the dry ingredients. Use a spatula to cut the milk mixture through the flour mixture to make a soft dough.
Turn the dough onto a floured work surface and knead lightly, folding over once. Roll out gently until 1-inch thick. Cut into rounds with 1 1/2-inch round cutter. Place the rounds on the prepared pan so they are just touching. Re-roll the scraps and cut into rounds.
Stir the cheese, melted butter, mustard and cayenne pepper in small saucepan on low heat until the cheese starts to melt. Spoon the cheese mixture over the scones.
Bake for 15 mins or until the tops are golden and sound hollow when tapped. Place, top-side up, on a wire rack to cool.
