Lamb Kofta In Curry Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb ground lamb
    3/4 cup fresh breadcrumbs
    1 None small onion, grated
    1 None egg, lightly beaten
    2 tsp grated fresh ginger
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 tbsp vegetable oil
    1 (15 oz) jar tikka masala simmer sauce
    2 tbsp toasted slivered almonds
    None None steamed basmati rice, to serve
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F.
    In a bowl, combine ground lamb, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, ginger and garlic. Season. Shape into 8 meatballs.
    Heat oil in a nonstick frying pan over high heat. Cook meatballs for 3-4 mins, until browned. Transfer to a large baking dish. Pour simmer sauce over top and bake, covered, for 25-30 mins.
    Top with almonds and serve with rice.
