Turkish Spiced Lamb Pide - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 tbsp olive oil
1 None onion, chopped
12.5 oz ground lamb
1 tsp ground allspice
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 None tomato, chopped
1/3 cup sliced almonds
1/3 cup currants
1 None lemon, zested
2 sheets puff pastry, halved
1 None egg, lightly beaten
None None baby spinach, to serve
None None Greek yogurt, to serve
None None lemon wedges, to serve
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F.
Heat oil in a large frying pan over high heat. Saute onion for 3-4 mins, until tender. Add ground lamb. Brown for 4-5 mins. Add spices and cook for 1 min, until fragrant. Add tomato, almonds, currants and lemon zest. Remove from heat. Season.
Distribute lamb mixture lengthwise down center of puff pastry rectangles. Pinch short ends together to seal, leaving filling uncovered. Brush with egg. Bake for 15-20 mins, until puffed and golden. Serve with spinach, Greek yogurt and lemon wedges.
