Caramelized Apple Tarts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
1 None egg yolk, beaten lightly
    1 tbsp milk
    1 tbsp granulated sugar
    2 large red apples
4 tbsp (1/2 stick) butter, softened
1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
None None Vanilla frozen yogurt or ice cream, for serving
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 425\u00b0F. Score the puff pastry sheet lightly using the tip of a sharp knife. Combine the egg yolk and milk and brush on the pastry, then sprinkle with the granulated sugar. Cut into 4 equal sized rectangles. Place on a small greased baking pan.
Using a mandolin or sharp knife, cut the unpeeled apples crosswise into very thin slices. Place the sliced apples, overlapping if necessary, in a large baking dish. Dot with butter and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
Bake the pastry and apple for about 10 mins or until the pastry is puffed and browned. Remove the pastry from the oven. Turn the apples over and bake for a further 10 mins or until soft and browned.
Top the pastry squares with apples and drizzle with the caramel mixture from the apple dish. Serve with yogurt or ice cream, if desired.
