Plum And Apple Chutney - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/4 lb plums, halved, pitted
    3 1/4 cups dark brown sugar
    2 cups cider vinegar
    4 None Granny Smith apples, unpeeled, grated
    2 None red onions, finely sliced
    2 tsp ground cinnamon
    2 tsp ground ginger
    2 tsp ground allspice
    1 tsp sea salt
    1/2 tsp freshly ground nutmeg
    1/2 tsp dried chili flakes
Preparation
    Place all ingredients in a large, heavy-bottomed saucepan. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer, stirring regularly, for 1 hour, until thick and syrupy.
