Waffles With Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    None None oil, for greasing
    9 tbsp butter, softened
    1/4 cup sugar
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    None pinch salt
    3 medium eggs
    1 1/2 cups whipping cream
    2/3 cup milk
    1 tsp baking powder
    2 cups flour, sifted
    2 tbsp dessert wine
    1 cup mascarpone cheese
    None None caramel strands and sugared rose petals, to decorate (optional)
Preparation
    Lightly grease and preheat a waffle iron. For the batter, cream the butter with the sugar, the vanilla extract and the salt. Whisk in the eggs one at a time. Mix the whipping cream and milk together in a bowl. In a separate bowl, stir the baking powder into the flour. Gradually whisk the cream mixture into the egg mixture, alternating with the flour and baking powder mixture, until all are combined. Use the batter to make 8 waffles. Cover and chill any remaining batter. It will keep for up to 3 days in the fridge.
    For the filling, whisk the wine into the mascarpone and serve sandwiched between two waffles. Decorate with caramel strands and sugared rose petals, if using.
