Braided Brioche Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup + 1 tsp skim milk
    1/2 tsp dry active yeast
    1 tsp honey
3 1/3 cup all purpose flour
    1 tsp salt
    3 tbsp butter
    1 None egg, beaten
    1 None egg yolk
Preparation
Combine 2/3 cup lukewarm milk, yeast, and honey in a small bowl and mix to combine. Set aside for 10 minutes.
Combine flour and salt in a large bowl and mix with a wooden spoon. Make a well in the middle of the flour. Pour the milk mixture into the well and stir until combined. Cover and set aside for 15 minutes to rise.
Meanwhile, melt the butter and combine with 1/3 cup of milk. Add butter mixture and the beaten egg to the dough and knead until smooth. Cover, and let rest in a warm place for 45 minutes, or until doubled in size.
Preheat oven to 400\u00b0F. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface and cut into 3 equal pieces. Roll each piece to form a rope about 18 inches long. Set ropes side by side and press together at one end. Braid ropes loosely and press ends together. Place on a greased cookie sheet and cover. Leave brioche in a warm place for 30 minutes to rise.
Mix the egg yolk with 1 tsp milk and brush over the brioche. Bake on the middle rack for 30 minutes. After 15-20 minutes cover with foil to prevent burning. Let brioche cool on a wire rack.
