Milk Chocolate Mud Cake With Hot Fudge - cooking recipe

18 tbsp butter, chopped
8 oz milk chocolate, roughly chopped
2/3 cup sugar
1 cup milk
3/4 cup flour
1 1/4 cups self-rising flour
2 None large eggs, lightly beaten
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup heavy cream, whipped
8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
3/4 cup cream
1/4 cup brown sugar
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0F. Grease an 8 inch square cake pan and line with parchment paper. For the batter, combine butter, milk chocolate, sugar and milk in a saucepan. Stir over low heat, without boiling, until smooth. Sift flours together and blend into chocolate mixture with eggs and 1 tsp vanilla. Pour into pan. Bake 1 hour 10 mins, or until a skewer comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 mins. Turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
Cut cake in half horizontally. Spread whipped cream over bottom half and sandwich with top half. Cut into squares. In a saucepan, combine dark chocolate, cream, brown sugar and remaining vanilla. Heat on low 3-4 mins, stirring, until melted. Spoon onto cake and serve immediately.
