Steak Sandwiches With Sautéed Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups frozen French fries
    2 None skirt steaks (6 oz each)
    1 clove garlic, halved
    2 tbsp vegetable oil
    1 None large onion, peeled and sliced into rings
    2 None soft rolls, split
    None None cucumber slices, tomato slices and lettuce leaves, for serving
Preparation
    Preheat the oven to 400\u00b0F. Spread the French fries on a baking sheet and bake for about 20 mins until crisp and golden.
    Meanwhile, rub the steaks all over with the cut sides of garlic, then season with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and cook for 3-4 mins per side for medium-rare. Remove to a plate; cover to keep warm. Add the onion rings to the skillet and cook until golden. Top each roll bottom with some cucumber, tomato and lettuce. Add the steaks and sandwich with the roll tops. Serve with the French fries.
