Poached Pears With Chocolate Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 None pears, peeled, halved and cored
    1 None cinnamon stick
    1 None vanilla bean, halved lengthwise
    1/2 cup sugar
    7 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped coarsely
    1/2 cup heavy cream
Preparation
    Combine pears, 4 cups water, cinnamon, vanilla bean and sugar in medium saucepan on medium heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer, covered, for 8 mins or until pears are just tender. Drain.
    Meanwhile, combine chocolate and cream in small saucepan on low heat. Stir for 5 mins or until smooth.
    Pour chocolate cream over pears to serve. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
