Layered Chicken Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb chicken
    1 cup soy sauce
    1/4 cup granulated sugar
    1 tsp sesame oil
    1 tsp five-spice powder
    1/4 cup fresh ginger, sliced
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 lb broccoli, coarsely chopped
    1 None medium red pepper, sliced
    1 (13.5 oz) can baby corn, drained
    3 None spring onions, sliced
    None None Ginger Dressing
    1/3 cup peanut oil
    2 tsp honey
    2 tsp white vinegar
    1 tsp soy sauce
    3/4 cup fresh ginger, grated
Preparation
    Combine soy sauce, 1 cup water, sugar, oil, five-spice powder, ginger and garlic in a large saucepan. Add chicken and bring to a boil, uncovered. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for about 40 mins, or until cooked, turning once. Let chicken cool in covered saucepan. Drain chicken, remove meat and slice.
    Meanwhile, boil, steam or microwave broccoli until tender. Rinse under cold water then drain.
    To make the ginger dressing, whisk all ingredients until combined.
    Layer chicken, broccoli, red pepper, corn and onion in a large bowl. Pour dressing over salad just before serving.
