Cheese And Poppyseed Swirls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 cups butter, at room temperature
2 None eggs, lightly beaten
4 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1.5 oz Cheddar cheese, grated
1 tsp milk
1 tbsp poppy seeds
Preparation

Cream butter until pale and creamy. Add eggs and beat until combined. Sift flour and baking powder over butter mixture then gently mix in. Gently bring together with your hands then add cheese and milk. Mix until just combined.
Divide into 5 portions and roll out into 10x6 inch rectangles. Place on parchment paper then sprinkle with poppy seeds. For each rectangle, roll up from the long side to form a log. Fold paper around log and twist ends to seal. Chill for 30 mins, or until firm.
Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Line a large baking tray with parchment paper. Unwrap and slice each log into 1/3 inch thick rounds. Place on prepared tray, 1 inch apart. Bake for 10-12 mins, or until lightly browned. Let cool on tray for 5 mins then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
