Italian Sausage Calzones - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 tbsp olive oil
1 None onion, chopped
2 clove garlic, crushed
4 None Italian sausages, finely chopped (around 12 oz total)
1 None tomato, chopped
1/4 cup basil leaves, chopped
4 None sheets frozen pie dough, thawed
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
1 large egg, beaten

Preheat oven to hot, 400\u00b0F. Line two baking sheets with parchment.
Heat oil in a large skillet on high. Saute onion and garlic 2-3 minutes.
Add sausage; saute an additional 4-5 minutes, until golden. Stir in tomato and basil; cook a further 2 minutes. Season to taste.
Place one sheet of pie dough on a clean surface. Cut into a round shape by trimming corners.
Spoon one-quarter sausage mixture into center of pastry. Top with one-quarter mozzarella. Brush edges with egg.
Fold over into a semicircle, pressing edges together with a fork to seal. Transfer to tray. Repeat with remaining pastry and filling.
Brush calzones with remaining egg. Bake 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
