Caramelized Pears - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 None pears
    3 tbsp butter
    1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    2 tbsp coffee-flavored liqueur
    1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste
    1 quart vanilla ice cream
Preparation
    Peel and core pears; cut each pear into eight wedges.
    Melt butter in large skillet on medium heat. Cook pears, stirring occasionally, until softened slightly.
    Sprinkle sugar over pears. Reduce heat to low. Cook, stirring occasionally, until sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil; boil 1 minute. Add liqueur and vanilla bean paste. Cook on high heat, about 2 mins or until mixture is syrupy.
    Serve pears with ice cream; drizzle with syrup.
