Brandied Fruit Mix - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    13.5 oz golden raisins
    10.5 oz dried currants
    13.5 oz raisins, coarsely chopped
    5 oz dried dates, finely chopped
    4 oz pitted prunes, finely chopped
    7 oz dried figs, finely chopped
    2 None large apples, grated coarsely
    1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
    2 1/2 cups dark brown sugar, firmly packed
    2 cups brandy
    2 tsp ground ginger
    1 tsp ground nutmeg
    1 tsp ground cinnamon
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and cover tightly with plastic wrap. Store in a cool, dark place for 1 month (or longer, if desired) before using. Stir mixture every 2-3 days.
