Chicken Wings With Homemade Plum Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb whole plums, quartered stones removed
    2 tbsp white vinegar
    1/4 cup water
    4 cloves garlic, chopped
    4 pieces ginger, chopped
    1/2 None medium onion, chopped
    1 tsp salt
    2 None fresh small red chiles, seeded, chopped finely
    3 None star anise
    1 None cinnamon stick
    1/3 cup sugar
    None None Roasted chicken wings
    4 1/2 lbs chicken wings
    1/3 cup dark soy sauce
    1/3 cup honey
    2 tbsp vegetable oil
    6 cloves garlic, crushed
Preparation
    To make the sauce, combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes or until plums, garlic, ginger and onion have softened completely. Remove star anise and cinnamon and strain mixture through a coarse strainer.
    To make the chicken wings, remove the tips from chicken wings. Half the wings into drumettes or wingettes. Marinate chicken in dark soy sauce, honey, vegetable oil and garlic for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 400\u00b0F and roast for 20 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
    Serve chicken wings with plum sauce.
