Asian Veal Steaks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 tbsp olive oil
    200 g spring onions, trimmed and sliced lengthways
    2 tsp sugar
    4 tbsp soy sauce, plus extra to serve
    Juice None of 1 lime
    2 None garlic cloves, peeled
    4 x 120 g veal steaks
Preparation
    Heat 2 tbsp of the oil in a large skillet with a lid, add the scallions and cook, stirring, for 2-3 mins. Reduce the heat and stir through the sugar, soy sauce and 1/3 cup of water. Cover and cook for 2-3 mins. Add the lime juice and salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
    Season the meat with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Heat the remaining oil in a skillet, add the garlic and meat. Cook for 2-4 mins, turning once, until cooked to your liking. Serve with the scallions and extra soy sauce, if liked.
