Chocolate Churros - cooking recipe

1/2 cup milk
6 tbsp butter, chopped
1 1/4 cups flour, sifted
1 None large egg, lightly beaten
2 oz dark chocolate, grated
None None vegetable oil, for deep frying
1 cup sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
None None coffee, to serve
Preparation

For the batter, combine milk, butter and 1/2 cup water in a medium saucepan. Heat on low until butter melts, then bring to a boil. Add flour to pan all at once and beat vigorously with a wooden spoon until mixture comes away from the sides of the pan. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Add egg, beating until well combined. Beat in chocolate.
Heat oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan on high, until a little batter sizzles immediately when added. Spoon batter into a piping bag fitted with a 3/4 inch star nozzle. Carefully pipe the batter, in 2 inch strips, into the oil in small batches. Lower heat and deep-fry for 2-3 mins, turning, until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Toss hot churros in the sugar mixture and serve with coffee.
