Swedish Vetebröd Cardamom Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
    1 1/2 cups lukewarm milk
    4 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
    5 None cardamom pods, finely ground with a mortar and pestle
    1 tbsp sugar
    6 tbsp olive oil
    1 None egg yolk, beaten with 3 tbsp water
    2-3 tbsp lemon juice
    1 cup powdered
Preparation
    Dissolve the yeast in the milk and place in a bowl with the flour, cardamom, sugar, oil and a pinch of salt. Knead dough until smooth, then cover and allow to rest in a warm place for 45 mins, until it has doubled in size.
    On a floured work surface, roll out the dough to a 13 x 10 inch rectangle. From one long side, cut the dough into 9 strands, leaving it joined at the top. Plait into 3 braids, then plait the 3 braids into 1 thick braid and pinch the ends together. Cover and allow to rest for 20 mins.
    Preheat the oven to 325\u00b0F. Brush the egg mixture over the bread and bake for 20-25 mins, until a skewer comes out clean. Allow to cool on a wire rack.
    In a bowl, mix the lemon juice and powdered sugar to a smooth, thick icing. Spread over the bread and allow to dry.
