Musical Note Cake - cooking recipe

2 None pound cakes
1 tub icing
None None blue, yellow and purple food coloring
1 lb white fondant icing
Preparation

Using a 16 inch square piece of cardboard, make a musical note template. Place cakes on top of template then shape cakes into a large musical note.
Tint icing blue with food coloring. Join cakes together using a little icing then spread remaining icing over top and sides.
Divide fondant into 3 portions. Wearing disposable gloves, tint 1/3 yellow and 1/3 purple. Leave remaining 1/3 white. Roll out each piece of fondant separately until 1/8 inch thick. Using different sized star-shaped cookie cutters, cut 6 stars from each fondant sheet and use to decorate cake.
Roll leftover fondant into 3 separate logs, each 2/3 inch thick. Place side by side and cut in half. Arrange 1 half on either side of cake to create a stylized Staff.
