Apple And Marzipan Spring Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    250 ml semi-skimmed milk
    1 tbsp custard powder
    4 tbsp sugar
    8 sheets spring roll pastry
    100 g marzipan, cut into 8 slices
    2 None apples, cored and cut into wedges
    100 g sultanas
    500 ml sunflower oil
    None None Cinnamon sugar, for sprinkling
Preparation
    In a saucepan, bring milk to a boil. Mix 4 tbsp hot milk with custard powder and stir until smooth. Return to the pan along with sugar, bring to a boil and simmer for 1 min, stirring constantly. Allow to cool then chill.
    Lay spring roll wrappers side by side on a clean work surface. Lay a slice of marzipan in one corner of each sheet. Evenly distribute apples and raisins over marzipan, brush edges with water then fold in sides and roll up. Heat oil and fry rolls, in batches, for 6 mins until golden. Drain on paper towels.
    To serve, arrange springs rolls and sauce on serving plates and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
