Curried Split Pea Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 oz yellow split peas
    1 can (14 oz) coconut milk
    2 tbsp curry powder
    1 bunch green onions, sliced
    1/2 bunch chives, chopped
    1 None orange, peel grated and orange juiced
    1 tsp granulated vegetable bouillon
    1 tsp chili powder
Preparation
    Place the split peas in a large saucepan. Add 4 cups cold water and bring to a boil. Cook on medium heat for 1 hour. Add the coconut milk and curry powder and cook for 10 mins.
    Add the green onions, chives, orange peel and juice, and granulated vegetable bouillon. Simmer for 5 mins, adding water if the soup is too thick. Season to taste and serve sprinkled with chili powder.
