Banana Maple Friands - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 oz pecans
    2 None large ripe bananas
    6 None egg whites, lightly whisked
    3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted, cooled
    1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
    1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    1/3 cup maple syrup
    1 tsp ground cinnamon
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Grease a 12-hole friand or muffin pan and place on a baking sheet.
    Place pecans in a food processor and process to fine crumbs. Transfer to a bowl. Mash one banana in a bowl and add to ground pecans along with egg white, butter, powdered sugar, flour, 2 tbsp of maple syrup and cinnamon. Mix well.
    Spoon banana mixture into pans. Thinly slice remaining banana and arrange on top.
    Bake for 20 mins until golden and a skewer inserted into center comes out clean. Let cool in pan 5 mins before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Drizzle with remaining maple syrup.
