Melt And Mix Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 tbsp (1 stick) butter, at room temperature
    1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
    2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    2 None eggs, lightly beaten
    1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
    1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese, at room temperature
    1/2 cup powdered sugar
    2 oz semi-sweet chocolate, finely grated
    None None Strawberries, to serve
Preparation
    Preheat the oven to 350\u00b0F. Grease and flour an 8-inch round cake pan.
    Place butter, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda and 1 cup water in a large saucepan on low heat. Cook and stir for 2 mins or until sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer for 5 mins, stirring occasionally, or until mixture reduces slightly. Remove from heat. Cool slightly.
    Whisk in egg. Stir in sifted flour. Pour into prepared pan. Gently tap pan to remove air bubbles.
    Bake for 45-50 mins or until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 5 mins. Remove from pan; cool completely on a wire rack.
    Beat cream cheese and sifted powdered sugar in a medium bowl with an electric mixer until smooth. Spread over cooled cake. Sprinkle with grated chocolate. Serve with strawberries.
