Applesauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 None Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and quartered
    3 1/2 tbsp butter, chopped
    2 tbsp sugar
    1/2 tsp ground allspice
    1 tbsp lemon juice
    2 strips lemon zest
    2 sprigs fresh thyme
    1 cup chicken stock
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0F. Lightly grease a roasting pan. Add apples and butter. Sprinkle with sugar, allspice and lemon juice. Top with zest and thyme. Bake for 25-30 mins, or until apple is tender, stirring halfway through cooking. Remove zest and thyme.
    Gently heat chicken stock then add baked apple mixture. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 mins, or until mixture thickens slightly. Blend until smooth.
