Steaks With Pesto And Mozzarella - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 None thin steaks (1/4 lb each)
6 tbsp olive oil
1 oz pine nuts
1 bunch basil, leaves removed
2 None large tomatoes, cut into 4 slices each
1 lb mozzarella cheese, cut into 16 slices
Preparation

Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a pan, season the steaks, then sear them, turning, for about 2 mins. To make the pesto, put the pine nuts, the rest of the olive oil, 4-5 tablespoons of water and the basil leaves into a blender, reserving a few leaves for the garnish. Puree, then season to taste.
Place the steaks on a roasting tray. Spread with the pesto, then cover with the tomato slices and the mozzarella. Bake in a preheated oven at 400\u00b0F for 5 mins. Garnish with the reserved basil leaves and serve with fresh ciabatta bread, if desired.
