Penne Bolognese - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 tbsp olive oil
1 None onion, finely chopped
1 strip bacon, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 lb ground beef
3.5 oz mushrooms, finely chopped
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 x 14 oz can chopped tomatoes
1/2 cup red wine
1 tbsp parsley, chopped
None None Cooked penne pasta, to serve
None None Shaved Parmesan, to serve
Preparation

Heat oil in a large frying pan on high. Saute onion, bacon and garlic 1-2 minutes, until tender. Add beef and cook 4-5 minutes, until browned, breaking up lumps as it cooks.
Stir in mushrooms and tomato paste and cook 1-2 minutes, stirring.
Stir in the tomatoes, wine and parsley and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10-15 minutes or until thickened, adding a little water if it becomes too thick. Season to taste.
Toss sauce with hot pasta. Serve topped with shaved Parmesan.
