Classic Steak Dinner - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb frozen potato wedges
    4 None shallots, peeled and cut into wedges
    4 None sirloin steaks (approx 6 oz each)
    4 tbsp olive oil
    2/3 lb broccoli florets
    3 None carrots, peeled and sliced
    3/4 cup sour cream
Preparation
    Cook the potato wedges in the oven according to the packet directions, adding the shallots 10 mins before the end of cooking time.
    Season the steak with black pepper. Heat 2 tbsp of the oil over high heat in a large non-stick frying pan. Cook 2 steaks for 1 1/2 mins each side for rare, 3 mins each side for medium and 4 mins each side for well-done. Remove from the pan and keep warm. Repeat with the remaining steaks. Season with salt just before serving.
    Meanwhile, cook the broccoli and carrots in salted boiling water for 5-7 mins until tender. Drain and serve with the potato wedges, shallots, steaks and sour cream, sprinkled with freshly ground black pepper.
