Ingredients

3/4 cup hazelnuts, chopped
1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour, plus extra for dusting
1 tsp baking powder
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 None egg, beaten
1/2 cup butter, cut into cubes
None None milk, for brushing
None None powdered sugar, for dusting
Preparation

Mix 2/3 cup nuts, flour, baking powder, sugar, vanilla, spice mix, egg, butter and a pinch of salt. Stir with a wooden spoon to combine, then knead on a floured work surface to form a ball of dough. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 30 mins.
Preheat oven to 400\u00b0F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. On a lightly floured work surface, roll out dough. Using a pretzel-shaped cookie cutter, cut out 50 pretzel shapes, re-rolling the trimmings as necessary. Transfer to prepared pans, brush with milk then sprinkle with remaining nuts. Bake for 7-8 mins. Allow to cool. Dust with powdered sugar to serve.
