Lasagne Pie - cooking recipe

13 oz fresh lasagne noodles (8 noodles)
1 tbsp vegetable or olive oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 3/4 lbs ground beef
2 cups tomato pasta sauce
1/3 cup tomato paste
1 pkg (1 1/2 oz) cheese sauce mix
1 1/2 cups milk
1 container (15 oz) ricotta cheese
1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
2 medium tomatoes, thickly sliced
1/3 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Preheat the oven to 350\u00b0F. Line a baking pan with parchment paper. Grease a 9-inch springform pan. Line the bottom and side with 2 lasagne noodles, overlapping slightly. Place on the baking pan.
Heat the oil in a large skillet on medium heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring, for 3 mins or until soft. Add the ground beef and cook, stirring with a wooden spoon to break up the lumps, for 5 mins or until browned. Stir in the pasta sauce and tomato paste; simmer for 5 mins or until the sauce thickens slightly. Remove from the heat.
Prepare the cheese sauce with the milk according to package directions. Stir in the ricotta cheese and 2/3 cup of the mozzarella cheese.
Spread a third of the beef mixture on the bottom of the prepared pan. Top with a third of the cheese mixture and 2 lasagne noodles. Repeat the layers. Top with the remaining lasagne noodles, then the remaining cheese mixture. Arrange the tomato over the top. Combine the remaining mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese in a small bowl. Sprinkle over the top of the lasagne.
Bake, uncovered, for 50-55 mins or until golden and bubbly. Remove from the oven. Let stand for 15 mins. Cut into wedges. Serve with salad.
