Almond-Topped Cream Slice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 cup heavy cream
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    2 None eggs
    1 cup self-rising flour
    None None FOR THE ALMOND TOPPING
    6 tbsp (3/4 stick) butter
    1/3 cup sugar
    1/4 cup heavy cream
    1 tbsp flour
    1 cup sliced almonds
Preparation
    Preheat the oven to 350\u00b0F. Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan and line the bottom with parchment paper, then grease the paper.
    Whisk the cream, sugar, vanilla extract and eggs in a large bowl until combined. Whisk in the flour in 2 batches. Spread the mixture into the prepared pan. Bake for 15 mins.
    For the almond topping, melt the butter in a small saucepan. Stir in the sugar, cream and flour. Stir constantly on medium heat until the mixture boils and thickens. Remove from the heat and gently stir in the almonds.
    Spread the slice with the topping. Bake for a further 15 mins or until golden brown. Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
