Cherry And Oat Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 3/4 cups all purpose flour
    3 cups rolled oats
    1 2/3 cups butter, cut into small cubes
    1 2/3 cups brown sugar
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    5 cups pitted cherries or blueberries
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0F. In a bowl, mix the flour, oats, butter, sugar, vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Rub the butter into the mixture with your fingers then stir in the cherries.
    Spread onto a greased 12 x 15 inch baking tray and bake for about 30 minutes. Remove and cool on a wire rack before cutting into 2 inch bars.
