Spiced Ginger Date Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup pitted dates
    2 cups ground almonds
    1/4 cup honey
    5 None eggs
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp ground ginger
    1 tsp ground nutmeg
    1 tsp ground cinnamon
    1 cup pecans, for decorating
Preparation
    Soak dates in water for 2 hours. Drain well.
    Preheat the oven to 300\u00b0F. Grease an 8-inch round cake pan with butter; line the bottom with parchment baking paper.
    Put the dates, almonds, honey, eggs, vanilla, baking soda and spices into a food processor. Process until smooth. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Decorate with the pecans.
    Bake for 45 mins or until a skewer inserted into center comes out clean. Cool cake in the pan on a wire rack.
