Chocolate Orange Fudge Cake - cooking recipe

9 tbsp butter, chopped
3 oz dark chocolate, chopped, plus 7 oz extra
2/3 cup self-raising flour
3/4 cup sugar
3 None large eggs
2 tsp orange zest, finely grated
1/4 cup orange juice
2 tbsp orange-flavored liqueur
2 tsp finely grated orange zest
2/3 cup cream
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Grease deep 8 inch round cake pan.
Combine butter and 3 oz chocolate in medium saucepan, stir over low heat until smooth. Transfer to large bowl. Cool for 10 mins.
Add sifted flour, sugar, eggs, orange zest, orange juice and liqueur to chocolate mixture, beat on low speed with electric mixer until ingredients are combined. Increase speed to medium, beat for 2 mins or until mixture is smooth and pale.
Pour mixture into cake pan, and bake for 1 hour. Let cake stand in the pan for 5 mins before turning out onto wire rack to cool.
To make chocolate orange ganache, combine 7 oz chocolate and orange zest in medium bowl. Bring cream to a boil in small saucepan. Pour hot cream over chocolate mixture, stir until smooth. Stand for 15 mins or until ganache is spreadable.
Spread cold cake with ganache.
