Panforte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 cup blanched almonds, toasted
    3.5 oz walnuts, toasted
    2.5 oz candied citrus peel
    3 oz dried figs, chopped
    1/4 cup cocoa powder
    3/4 cup all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
    1/4 cup butter
    1/3 cup sugar
    1/2 cup honey
    None None Powdered sugar, for dusting
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 300\u00b0F. Grease an 8 inch square cake pan and line bottom with parchment paper, extending paper at 2 opposite sides for handles.
    Combine nuts and fruit in a medium bowl. Sift cocoa powder, flour and spice over fruit mixture and stir to combine. Make a well in the center of dry ingredients.
    Place butter, sugar and honey in a small saucepan. Stir over low heat until sugar has dissolved. Pour into dry ingredients and mix well. Press into prepared pan. Bake for 25 mins. Let cool in pan, then lift out and remove parchment paper. Cut into pieces and serve dusted with powdered sugar.
