Nutty Chocolate Orange Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 2/3 cups blanched almonds
    2 cups walnuts
    7 oz dark chocolate, chopped
    1 cup butter, softened
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 cup granulated sugar
    5 None large eggs, separated
    1 tbsp orange zest
    None None powdered sugar, for dusting
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 275\u00b0F. Grease and line a deep 9 inch square cake pan with parchment paper.
    Blend or process nuts and chocolate until finely chopped. Set aside.
    Beat butter, vanilla and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg yolks, 1 at a time, beating until combined between additions. Stir in chocolate mixture and orange zest. Whip egg whites to soft peaks then fold into chocolate mixture in 2 batches. Transfer to prepared pan and bake for 1 hour 15 mins, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool to room temperature in pan then cover and chill for 3 hours or overnight.
    Cut cake into squares. Serve dusted with powdered sugar.
