Apple And Berry Filo Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 None medium apples, peeled, cored, sliced thinly
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp cornstarch, mixed with 2 tsp water until smooth
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon, plus 1/4 tsp extra
10.5 oz frozen mixed berries
4 sheets filo dough
2 1/2 tbsp butter, melted
2 tbsp sliced almonds
Preparation

Preheat oven to 425\u00b0F. Grease an 8 inch pie dish.
Combine apples and sugar in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer, covered, for about 8 mins, or until tender. Add cornstarch slurry, vanilla and 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Stir over medium heat until mixture boils and thickens slightly. Stir in berries then transfer to prepared pie dish.
Brush each sheet of filo dough with butter. Scrunch each sheet up then arrange over filling. Sprinkle with extra cinnamon and sliced almonds. Bake for 20 mins, or until golden brown.
