Ingredients

1 3/4 lbs white cabbage, cut into strips
7 oz carrots, peeled and cut into strips
4 tbsp mayonnaise
2 tbsp vinegar
4 1/4 cups vegetable oil, for frying
1 3/4 lbs floury potatoes, peeled, cut into strips and patted dry
1 lb ground beef
2 None onions, peeled, 1 diced, 1 cut into thin rings
2 tsp wholegrain mustard
1 tsp tomato puree
1 None egg
4 tbsp breadcrumbs
4 tbsp milk
2 tbsp sunflower oil
None None Paprika, for sprinkling
Preparation

In a bowl, mix the cabbage, carrots, mayonnaise and vinegar. Season to taste and chill.
In a saucepan or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 300\u00b0F. Fry the potatoes in batches for 5 mins each, until golden. Drain on paper towels.
In a bowl, mix the beef, diced onion, mustard, tomato puree, egg, breadcrumbs and milk. Season to taste and knead. Form into 4 burgers.
Heat the sunflower oil in a frying pan and cook the burgers for 8 mins, turning. Remove from the pan and keep warm. Add the onion rings to the pan and saute until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Heat the vegetable oil to 325\u00b0F and fry the French fries again in batches. Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt and paprika. Serve with the burgers, onions and coleslaw.
