Pear And Filo Tarts - cooking recipe

6 sheets phyllo dough, thawed
3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
3 medium pears
1/3 cup sliced almonds
1 tbsp demerara sugar
None None Powdered sugar, to dust (optional)
Preparation

Preheat the oven to 375\u00b0F. Lightly spray 2 baking pans with no stick cooking spray.
Working with one sheet of phyllo at a time, brush with a little melted butter. Fold in half and brush surface with more butter. Crumple each piece loosely into an 3-inch round, gathering inwards as you work. Transfer to prepared pans.
Quarter, core and cut pears into thin slices. Arrange among folds of phyllo to fill tarts. Sprinkle with almonds and demerara sugar.
Bake for 15 mins, until golden. Dust with powdered sugar, if desired. Serve warm with ice cream.
