Strawberry Compote - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tbsp sugar
    3/4 cup + 2 tbsp apple juice
    1 tbsp custard powder (such as Bird's Custard Powder)
    1 lb strawberries, diced
Preparation
    In a saucepan, bring the sugar and 3/4 cup apple juice to boil. In a small bowl, mix the custard powder with 2 tbsp apple juice until smooth and pour into the boiling juice, stirring constantly. Bring back to a boil and simmer for 1 min, stirring. Stir in the strawberries, transfer to a bowl, and allow to cool.
