Guinness Braised Brisket - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (6 lb) beef brisket, trimmed
2 tbsp peppercorn-herb seasoning mix
2 tbsp vegetable oil
12 oz Guinness, or other extra stout beer
1 (1.4 oz) package dried onion soup mix
1/4 cup honey mustard
1/4 cup Frank's Red Hot hot sauce
1 tbsp minced garlic
3/4 cup apple cider
1 sprig fresh thyme
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F.
Rub brisket with spice mix. Heat oil in a Dutch oven over high heat. Sear meat for 6 mins, or until browned on all sides. Whisk together remaining ingredients then pour over beef. Cover and cook for 3 hours, or until a thermometer inserted into meat read 170\u00b0F.
Let meat rest for 10 mins. Skim fat off of pan drippings and discard thyme. Serve gravy with beef.
