Chocolate Caramel Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup sugar
    1 stick butter, cubed
    5 oz dark chocolate, chopped
    1/2 cup hot water
    1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    1/3 cup self-raising flour
    1/3 cup cocoa powder, plus more for dusting
    1 large egg, lightly beaten
    13 oz can dulce de leche or caramel, mixed well
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Lightly grease an 7 x 11-inch pan. Line base and sides with parchment.
    In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, butter, chocolate and water. Stir over low heat for 4-5 minutes, until smooth. Transfer mixture to a medium bowl. Let cool for 10 minutes.
    Sift flours and cocoa together. Fold into the chocolate mixture along with the egg until well combined.
    Spoon half the mixture into prepared pan. Drizzle with caramel. Carefully cover with remaining cake mixture.
    Bake for 35-40 minutes, until cooked when tested. Let cool in pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares. Dust with cocoa. Store in an airtight container.
