Spiced Fruit Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 cup sugar
1 None vanilla pod, seeds scraped out
1/2 oz ginger, peeled and chopped finely
1 None orange, zested, peeled and sliced thinly
1 stick cinnamon
2 None star anise pods
6 None cloves
1 tbsp honey
1 None mango, peeled and cut into thin slices
2 None kiwis, peeled and cut into thin slices
1 None star fruit, peeled and cut into thin slices
1/4 None pineapple, peeled and cut into thin slices
1 oz dried cranberries
Preparation

Place the sugar, 1 cup water, vanilla seeds, ginger, orange zest, cinnamon, star anise and cloves in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 mins until thickened. Remove from the heat and stir in the honey. Strain through a sieve and discard the spices.
Mix the fruit together in a bowl, stir in the syrup and chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour before serving.
