Crispy Spiced Tofu - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    21 oz semi-firm silken tofu, drained, each piece of tofu cut into 6 pieces
    None None vegetable oil, for shallow-frying
    1 None carrot, julienned
    2 oz pea shoots
    6 None small red radishes, julienned
    2 oz daikon radish, julienned
    2 tsp soy sauce
    2 tsp lime juice
    None None Spice Coating
    2 tbsp flaked sea salt
    1/2 tbsp Szechuan peppercorns
    1/2 tsp chili flakes
    1/4 cup cornstarch
Preparation
    For spice coating, dry toast salt, pepper and chili flakes over high heat until fragrant. Pound using a mortar and pestle until finely crushed. Mix with cornstarch.
    Heat oil in a medium saucepan over high heat. Dust tofu in spice coating. Working in batches, fry for 1-2 mins per side, until golden. Drain on paper towels.
    To serve, toss vegetables with soy sauce and lime juice. Serve with crispy tofu.
