Chocolate Liqueur Soufflés - cooking recipe
Ingredients
-
1 tbsp plus 1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups milk
2 tbsp chocolate-flavored liqueur
4 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
4 tbsp (1/2 stick) butter
1/4 cup flour
4 None eggs, separated
2 None egg whites
2 tsp powdered sugar
Preparation
-
Preheat the oven to 400\u00b0F. Grease four 1-cup baking dishes. Sprinkle bottom and sides with 1 tbsp of the sugar, shaking away excess sugar. Place dishes on baking pan.
Stir milk, liqueur and chocolate in medium saucepan on low heat until chocolate melts.
Melt butter in separate medium saucepan on medium heat. Add flour and stir for 1 min. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in chocolate mixture and remaining 1/4 cup sugar. Cook on high heat, stirring, until mixture boils and thickens. Transfer to large bowl; stir in egg yolks.
Beat all egg whites in large bowl with electric mixer until soft peaks form. Fold into chocolate mixture, in two batches. Spoon mixture into prepared dishes.
Bake souffles about 25 mins or until puffed and well browned. Serve immediately, dusted with sifted powdered sugar.
