Mini Shepard'S Pies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

12 oz potatoes, peeled and sliced
3/4 cup carrots, peeled and sliced
4 tbsp butter
1/3 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1 pinch grated nutmeg
2 None small onions, finely diced
1 1/2 cup celery, finely diced
14 oz ground beef
Preparation

Cook the potatoes and carrots in a pot of salted, boiling water for 10-12 mins, until very tender. Drain then add 2 tbsp butter, 3 tbsp cheese, and the nutmeg and season with salt and pepper. Mash using a potato masher until smooth.
Preheat the oven to 400\u00b0F.
Heat 2 tbsp butter in a saucepan, add the onion and celery and saute for 2-3 mins, stirring. Add the ground beef and continue to cook, stirring, for 3-4 mins. Season to taste. Divide the mixture between 4 ramekins and top each one with the mash. Sprinkle each ramekin with cheese then bake for 15-20 mins until golden. Serve.
