Fettuccine Alfredo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    15 oz fettuccine
    4 1/2 tbsp butter
    1 1/4 cups heavy cream
    2 oz Parmesan cheese, grated
    1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
    None None fresh basil, torn (optional)
    None None crusty bread, to serve
Preparation
    Cook pasta in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain.
    Meanwhile, melt butter in a large frying pan over high heat. Add cream and 1 oz Parmesan. Bring to a simmer. Add pasta and nutmeg, season and toss to coat.
    Serve with remaining Parmesan, a few torn basil leaves, if desired, and crusty bread on the side.
