Little Apple Pies - cooking recipe

1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling
1/3 cup ground almonds
1 tbsp finely grated lemon peel
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 None refrigerated pie crusts
1 None egg, lightly beaten
None None Powdered sugar, to dust
None None Vanilla ice cream, to serve
Preparation

Preheat the oven to 425\u00b0F. Grease a 12-cup muffin pan.
Combine the apple pie filling, almonds, lemon peel and cinnamon in a bowl. Using a 4-inch round cookie cutter, out 10 rounds from the pastry. Line the muffin cups with the pastry. Spoon the apple mixture evenly into crusts.
Cut the remaining pastry into 1/8-inch strips. Arrange the strips in a lattice pattern over the filling. Press the strips to the edge of the crusts to seal. Trim the excess pastry. Brush the pastry with egg.
Bake for 20 mins or until golden. Cool in pan for 5 mins. Dust with powdered sugar. Serve the pies with ice cream.
