Fig And Chocolate Caramel Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 tbsp (1 stick) butter
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 1/4 cups coarsely chopped dried figs
1 None egg, lightly beaten
3/4 cup self-rising flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350\u00b0F. Grease an 11 x 8-inch baking pan. Line bottom and long sides with parchment paper, extending paper 2 inches over sides.
Melt butter in a medium saucepan on medium heat. Stir in sugar until dissolved. Remove from heat. Let stand for 5 mins. Stir in figs, then egg and sifted flour and cocoa. Press mixture into prepared pan.
Bake for 15 mins. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars.
