Old-Fashioned Beef Patties With Gravy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tbsp olive oil
    1 None onion, finely chopped
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    2 slices bacon, finely chopped
    1 lb ground beef
    1 None egg
    1/2 cup dried breadcrumbs
    1 None carrot, grated
    1/4 cup coarsely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
    1 1/2 tbsp flour
    1 1/2 cups beef stock
Preparation
    Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Cook onion, garlic and bacon, stirring, until onion has softened. Remove from pan; cool. Drain excess fat from pan.
    Combine onion mixture, ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, carrot and parsley in large bowl. Shape mixture into 8 patties.
    Reheat pan on medium heat. Cook patties for 15 mins, or until browned and cooked through. Remove from pan; cover to keep warm.
    Add flour to drippings in pan and cook, stirring, until mixture is browned and bubbling. Gradually stir in stock. Cook, stirring, until gravy boils and thickens. Strain gravy. Serve patties with gravy.
